Niigata ‘Quake

I feel that my blog is turning into a running commentry on natural disasters in Japan. Typhoon followed by earthquake followed by typhoon, and so on. It’s almost a weekly occurance at the moment.

The massive series of quakes that hit Niigata yesterday and this morning are the largest to hit Japan this year and are officially the largest single source of casualties since the 1995 Kansai (Kobe) disaster. The tremours were felt over an area covering more than half of Japan! My condolences go to the people and their families caught up in this latest catastrophe.
