Cycle Ride to Ameya Yokocho

I just came back from Ameya-yokocho. It’s a bustling downtown area of Tokyo that sits snuggly between Ueno and Akihabara. The place never fails to amaze me with its sprawl of tiny shops flogging wares to all comers. It’s a lively and often crowded place which offers some of the cheapest good food and best quality leather goods in town. Today I found a street vendor selling “Ameya-yaki”. It’s a type of cross beween a pizza, a bhaji and an omlette! Oh yeah!
